Quote O' the Week

This won't be nearly as funny without the visual, but oh well...

I'm currently in rehearsal for a show in which almost all of the leads have a lengthy stage kiss at some point or other. One of the male leads is a grad student who happens to be gay. I was outside the opera studio after the first rehearsal in which he had to kiss his love interest. The look on his face was priceless as he said in a very quiet monotone:

"That was the first girl I've kissed in a long... long time."

I'll admit I'm an Olympics buff, so it hasn't surprised me that I have been watching this year's games whenever I'm home (except of course, when 24 is on...). What surprises me is that I'm totally addicted to curling. I have watched WAY more curling than any other sport. That shit fascinates me, it must have something to do with my Canadian half...

Some of the best things in life are...

On to another subject of which west coasters like myself have almost no knowledge: turnpikes.

What the hell do you mean I have to pay to use the FREEway!?!?!?

Beyond the ire I experience by having to pay to use a road, it blows me away that these are some of the WORST roads in the country. If I have to pay to use it, it had better be the smoothest ride I have ever experienced...

Sorry, I just got back from an audition in Montreal, a trip that saw around $25 added to it because of turnpike fees. On a good note, at least the audition went well :)
